Board Director Who is Never Bored
Working with one of his first clients, ICU Medical, Inc., from a start up to a publicly traded company, John learned how speed and agility play pivotal roles in the burgeoning medical device industry. Earning the respect of management, John was appointed a Board Member – eventually serving over 25 years before retiring as lead director.
Big Corporate Experience
John was patent counsel to several major corporations, including the Standard Oil Company (Indiana), the Brunswick Corporation, and TRW. At TRW, he managed the patent and licensing department and served on the Advanced Electronics Panel chaired by Simon Ramo and the Patent Committee for the Aerospace Industry Association. He has served as an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association and has testified as an expert witness in Jacobson v. Kawasaki, involving the Jet Ski®. Attorney Connors has also served as a Los Angeles assistant district attorney pro tempore.
Patent Lawyer With Credentials
With a chemistry degree from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, Minnesota and a Juris Doctor Degree from John Marshall Law School, Chicago, Illinois, John understands the science and legal implications of business breakthroughs. John is a member of the California Bar, the Orange County Bar Association, the Orange County Patent Law Association, the Los Angeles Intellectual Property Law Association, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, and the National Association of Corporate Directors, and an expert-in–residence of the University of California Applied Innovation Program.

John is blessed with his two sons working side-by-side with him at his law firm, Connors & Associates pc in Orange County, California. He also has a secret weapon with his grandson as an intern while studying computer science, thus ensuring that John stays on top of emerging information technology trends.
